Lymph or Tissue Fluid
- lymph is a colourless fluid containing specialised lymphocytes which are responsible for the immune responses of the body.

- blood passes through capillaries in the tissues.
- some water along with water soluble substance move out into the spaces between the cell of tissue ,this fluid is called interstitial fluid or tissue fluid.
- tissue fluid has same mineral distribution that as in plasma
what is the Function of Tissue fluid.
- Exchange of Gases and nutrients between the blood and the cells occurs through it.It helps maintain fluid balance in the body by collecting excess fluid and particulate matter from tissues and depositing them in the bloodstream.
- Lymph also absorb fat from intestinal villi through lacteal
- Bacteria may enter the lymph channels and be transported to lymph nodes, where the bacteria are destroyed. Metastatic cancer cells can also be transported via lymph.
- excess of lymphocytes occurs in it.

Q. what is lymphatic system ?
Ans...... It is made up of a large network of lymph, lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, lymphatic or lymphoid organs, and lymphoid tissues. The vessels carry a clear fluid called lymph .
Unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system is not a closed system. The human circulatory system processes an average of 20 litres of blood per day through capillary filtration, which removes plasma from the blood. Roughly 17 litres of the filtered plasma is reabsorbed directly into the blood vessels, while the remaining three litres are left in the interstitial fluid. One of the main functions of the lymphatic system is to provide an accessory return route to the blood for the surplus three litres.[4]
